NIS America announced earlier today at their panel at the New York Comic Con that they will be releasing Denpa Onna to Seishun Otoko under the title Ground Control to Psychoelectric Girl on 2 BluRay and 2 DVD discs. The series will come bundled with a hardcover art book and is slated for a January 2013 release.

While the licensing news was a bit thin this year at Otakon, it seems that there are two very interesting acquisitions worth mentioning. First off, Funimation has obtained the streaming rights to Aquarion Evol. There is still no word on the home video rights, but judging from the visuals, it would not be surprising to see an eventual BluRay release.

Also announced at Otakon was that NISA managed to acquire the home video rights to Umineko no Naku Koro ni (without much bloodshed). The popular visual novel turned anime series will be released on BluRay this December. Nothing like horror, mystery, and murder right before Christmas!

NIS America announced yesterday that they have acquired the distribution rights to BRAVE10 in North America. Furthermore, in what shouldn't be a surprise by this point, BRAVE10 will be simulcasting on Crunchyroll starting January 10, 2012. The series is a modernized interpretation of Sanada Ten Braves, a historically popular novel about a noble group of ninjas. The series stars popular voice actors such as Daisuke Ono (Shizuo in Durarara!), Tetsuya Kakihara (Simon in Gurren Lagann) & Rina Satou (Mikoto Miskaka in To aru Kagaku no Railgun). Check out a trailer and brief synopsis after the jump.
