Chuunibyou Anime Green Lit for Second Season
We recently jumped the gun in announcing the possibility of a second season of KyoAni's overwhelmingly popular series, Chuunibyou demo Koi ga Shitai. However, it looks like it was fated to happen anyway. The Fandom Post is reporting that the June issue of Kadokawa Shoten's Newtype magazine will be announcing a second season in their upcoming June issue. There are currently no other details available.
BREAKING: "Swimming Anime" to Actually Air This Summer
In what was both a surprising (for some) and very expected (due to demand) move, Kyoto Animation announced that their next new project will be Free! or as it's better known to it's fans, "the Swimming Anime."
The series which arose due to a seemingly innocuous concept video and took the internet by storm is scheduled for a July 2013 release, just in time for swimming season! Details about the upcoming series are still sparse, but Masahiro Yokotani (Maria Holic, Hatarku Maou-sama) will be writing the script. You can watch the upcoming anime's PV below.
It's Contagious! Even Pixiv Does the Harlem Shake!
It seems that the infectious viral video known as the Harlem Shake is not just limited to the Western World. The fine folks at Pixiv (one of Japan's largest online communities for artists) happens to demonstrate this quite well. The sole video on the pixivInfo Youtube channel illustrates their seemingly normal headquarters before, after and during the outbreak of this contagion.
You can watch the Pixiv team do the Harlem Shake after the jump and be sure to keep an eye out for some creative yoga.
Chunnibyou Announces A Possible Second Season?
It's official! After a wildly successful first season for Kyoto Animation, Chunibyou Demo Koi ga Shitai! has been picked up for more. The moéblob-filled romantic comedy which had originally aired during the Fall 2012 anime season was immediately noticed for its high production values, artwork, as well as its lovable cast of misfits.
The official twitter account for the series announced earlier today that their contract had been renewed. What this means is up to debate but given the success of the first season it's safe to speculate that it may be an OVA or a second season. There are currently no further details available about what the announcement means but in the mean time check an official teaser video below.
SpringFestNY '13 — An Insider's Look
leetNEET shares a very special relationship with SpringFestNY and its organizers, PAS. Not only do we share a number of members but SpringFest is also the first convention we've ever covered. That's why it's not uncommon for us to get directly involved whenever SpringFest rolls around and this year is no exception. Read on to get an insider's perspective on the emerging anime convention that's keeping the spirit of the now defunct NYAF alive, as well as a look at what actually goes in making the magic happen.

What's Happening Here?
Hello there!
You're probably wondering what's happening here. Don't worry, rumors of our demise are simply just that, rumors. Here at leetNEET, we're undergoing major changes in order to better serve our readers this year. As a result, we're taking drastic measures.
Firstly we're reviving the forums as the voters unanimously requested in our poll. We'll be looking forward to reading what everyone has to say.
Next and most important, we're changing our focus from a wide variety of things to what's currently relevant to the NYC community. As a result, our current publishing operations are on hiatus. Fortunately, this also gives us time to implement new site features and reorganize some messy content.
While we're doing that, we'd love to get your input! Feel free to let us know what you think in the comments below, on the Site Upgrade thread in the forum, or on our social media pages.

Winter 2012-13 Anime: Nekomonogatari (Black)
As the year draws to a close, we can now count the days until the next anime in the "Monogatari" series premieres. As we had previously heard, Nekomonogatari (Black), which is the last in the "first season" of NisiOisin's light novels, will be receiving an anime adaptation.
So far, Aniplex has released 2 promotional videos (which you will find below) for the upcoming series which is scheduled to air in Japan on December 31, 2012. It will also be simulcasted on Niconico's video streaming service.
Winter 2012-13 Anime Previews: Tamako Market
Kyoto Animation, the same studio famous (or infamous) for the ubiquitous K-ON!, The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya and this season's hit Chuunibyou Demo Koi ga Shitai!, recently announced that they would be undertaking a new project. While this isn't shocking, the surprising part is their new series, called Tamako Market, is a completely original work rather than an adaptation. Tamako Market is set to air this coming January. Read on to find out more and watch the CM.
