Lots of people say the want to work in the Game industry, but here's an actual opportunity! BioWare Montreal is seeking "multiplayer programmers". According to a Montreal-based recruiter's LinkedIn page, the potential recruits will be specifically working on Mass Effect 3. However, that part was quickly removed but still captured by CinemaBlend.

The Sim Tower is a bit of a different game form what we play today. For beginners it was initially Mac compatible and was later adapted to Windows 3.1 operating system and every other windows till 98 (compatibility mode makes the rest work)

Anyway for all you gamers who hate games made around the year 2000 or flash games, you would almost certainly hate the extremely low res graphics of The Sim Tower. Otherwise this is one of the very few Sim games I like. In the game you basically build a mixed-use skyscraper with what the hell you want in it, as long as you have the basic essentials (i.e. housekeeping for hotel rooms, recycling for condos, food and parking for offices, and various attractions). This allows for some pretty awesome building designs however, in the end, they all end up looking like the Empire State Building. (Probably due to the fact that this game was made in 1994.)
Anyway the game gets really fun around level 3 when you have 1000+ inhabitants. At that point, you must expand rapidly at a dizzying pace. The game is very addictive and comprehensive (something nonexistent in the more recent games). Some advice though do not play before thoroughly reading the help guide. There is no tutorial. Also since it is Mac based you click and hold for options instead of right clicking. The game is very playable. It'll work on practically every computer, including craptop. Enjoy!
In other news it looks like there was a recent bomb threat at a local tower this week. The bomb was found and disabled 2 years later after the search party reached the 7000th floor. As a feature in the game there is a bomb threat every once in a while along with robberies and fires so be careful you don’t destroy anything.

One upcoming video game I'm excited to see is Dragon Ball: Origins 2 for the Nintendo DS. The game picks up from where we left off in the first installment, after the conclusion of the Tournament Saga.
In Origins 2, we get to play Goku as he trounces on the Red Ribbon Army, this time using our trusty stylus! From the various screenshots I've seen so far, I'm assuming the gameplay will be more or less the same. If you haven't the foggiest idea of the gameplay, think Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass. That's right, most of the action is stylus-based, so watch out for those screens. Protect them!
From what I know so far, it's coming out June 2010, so save up for this game. Based on what I've played in the first installment, it's very enjoyable, and you literally will scream into the screen. I have, and it wasn't even the infamous Kamehameha war cry.

For Fans and Non-Fans of Hetalia, TokyoPop Releases "Hetalia Chibi Carnival" for the iPhone
Written by Shinaka
Axis Powers Hetalia (often shortened to Hetalia) has been attracting attention as well as controversy for its depiction of anthropomorphized countries and historical events (such as the titular Axis Powers nations of Germany, Italy, and Japan) ever since an anime adaption of the manga began airing in Japan in early 2009. This hasn't stopped - and perhaps even spurred - TokyoPop to license the manga for North American distribution. Volumes one and two were released in English late last year, with the third volume to come on May 31st. As a small treat to fans of the manga as well as an attempt to spread the word about Hetalia, TokyoPop has recently released an iPhone application called "Hetalia Chibi Carnival".

According to Apple's App Store and a press release by TokyoPop, "Hetalia Chibi Carnival" is a simple game in which you're required to match a picture of a chibi-fied Hetalia character on the bottom of the screen with a picture of the character towards the top of the screen. The catch is that there is a limit and that the top picture will be scrolling by, along with pictures of other chibi-ized characters from the series. Winning will net you more characters to play with as well as exclusive Hetalia wallpapers that you can use for your iPhone. Even further, Gentosha Publishing and Hidekaz Himaruya, the Japanese publisher of the manga and the manga's creator respectively, have included art for "Hetalia Chibi Carnival" that has never been released in full-color before.
In addition, the app will include the first chapter of the manga for free as well as a link to the Hetalia manga trailer so those new to Hetalia can get a better feel of the series.
"Hetalia Chibi Carnival" is currently available in Apple's App Store for 99¢.

It seems it's that time again; time for us to set aside our books, grab our backpacks, our town maps and our collapsible bicycles and ride off into the horizon and fantastical adventure. Or at least it will be that time again soon, as yet another pokemon game is being released. I'm talking about Pokemon BLACK and WHITE, of course I'm sure you already knew this. The fifth generation pokemon game is slated to hit Japan this fall and features the new Isshu region with fully 3D rendered areas, slightly older trainers than the ones we're used to and of course brand new pokemon to add to the 493 that already exist.

According to the Japanese Pokemon website, the new Pokemon games coming out later in 2010 will be called "Pokemon Black and White".
Any thoughts on this?
A 3D handheld console?
On March 23, Nintendo introduced a new hardware for handheld consoles, the Nintendo 3DS. Nintendo described this new portable console as something that can be "enjoyed with 3D effects without the need for any special glasses." No one knows how the 3D effects will work, but there is a possibility that it could work like a Japan-only DSiWare game.
(The name of the game is 3D Hidden Picture. I've just watched the video while writing this... It's amazing! This is the DSiWare game. This is NOT the 3DS!)
