Earlier this month, I reviewed Revolutionary Girl Utena. At the same time, since I have reviewed the series, I am semi-obligated to note that Noizumi Entertainment, the production division of Right Stuf, Inc., has acquired the license for Utena. Readers may or may not know, but Utena has had a pretty bad experience, much worse than fellow 90s anime, Dragonball Z, when it comes to being distributed in the United States. Noizumi acquired the license from the now defunct, Central Park Media, a New York based anime distributor whose other titles include Project A-ko.

Funimation announced in a press release that Nickelodeon will be airing Dragon Ball Z Kai (released in Japan under the title Dragon Ball Kai) on its Nicktoons channel. According to ANN the series will start to air in May along with another show called Voltron Panthera Force.
Many of us grew up with the Dragonball series, that's why the it's exciting to think about Dragon Ball Z Kai. Unlike the other shows in the series, this one isn't a continuation but rather a remake of Dragonball Z (without the hundred episodes devoted to constipation powering up while screaming). It is digitally remastered and edited to follow the manga closely.
The main concern however is whether Nickelodeon will butcher the series, like so many other shows, in an attempt to make it more kid friendly. Let us know what you think will happen in the comments below.
Are you dying to get your next Bakemonogatari fix? Unfortunately SHAFT has announced that the final episode of the Tsubasa Cat story arc will be delayed until June 9th. This doesn't come as a surprise to many though. After all, the first online episode was delayed due to production scheduling issues.
Although it'll be rough to live without Arararararagi-kun for 3 more months, at least they aren't trolling the fans like KyoAni and their years of teasing Haruhi fans to bring them the Endless Eight fiasco. Let us know what you'll do in the mean time in the comments below.

Can't get enough Oreimo? Then you're just in luck! On Monday, the hit series' official website announced that they'll be releasing 8 volumes on Bluray and DVD. Considering that the series' TV run is only scheduled for 12 episodes and that the Blurays will each have 2 episodes, that means there are 4 unaired episodes for the watching! That line of reasoning was confirmed in an interview with Aniplex producer Atsuhiro Iwakami on the series' offical website.
The 7th and 8th volumes are scheduled to ship out June 22 and July 27, 2011. It's a long way off, but at least there will be more to look forward to. According to Iwakami, there are 2 versions of episode 12, one which ends the TV series, and the other which continues it to episode 15.
Will you be like Kirino and buy both the entire set on Bluray and DVD? Let us know in the comments below or leave us a message on our Facebook page / twitter.
