First Two Madoka Magica Movies to Run in US Theaters
Aniplex USA's official twitter account announced just minutes ago that the first two movies in the upcoming trilogy of Madoka Magica movies will run in US theaters this October. The first two films, Puella Magi Madoka Magica the Movie Part I: Beginnings and Puella Magi Madoka Magica the Movie Part II: Eternal will be shown in select US theaters as a double feature just days after the Japanese release date.
The films will recap the happenings of the television anime series. They are being distributed by Eleven Arts who also brought Trigun: Badlands Rumble and Evangelion 2.0 to US theaters. It's safe to assume that the film will be shown with the original Japanese audio and English subtitles.
At the time of writing this, the websites for the theaters that are scheduled to show the film have not yet been updated to include film information or ticket sales. Currently the film is scheduled to run in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Houston, Chicago, and New York. You can find a full list of theaters showing the film on the series' official English website.

(UPDATED) Newtype Announces Madoka Magica Movies
Thank you based Madoka! According to the Anime News Network, the December issue of Newtype magazine will be announcing the there will be a theatrical film of Madoka Magica. Although it was expected that there would be another Madoka related project, since writer Gen Urobuchi has been mulling it over since the television anime ended, most people expected another anime series. There isn't any further information available yet, but we'll keep everyone posted.
UPDATE: According to Crunchyroll, the image of the December cover of Newtype has not been confirmed to be real. But it looks pretty real so we'll have to wait until Thursday to know the truth.
UPDATE 2: Anime News Network has confirmed that Newtype magazine will be announcing the Madoka Magica theatrical film project.

Two of the movies will recap the series (no surprise there) and the third will be a completely new story. What that entails is a mystery, but director Akiyuki Shinbo and writer Gen Urocuhi are on the case! There are currently no further details but we're stoked!

Kita kore!!! Kyubey is now available in convenient plush form. Not only is he deceptively adorable, but he probably will make an excellent punching bag. Toy manufacturer, Medicom Toy announced they'll be offering the polarizing plush for sale starting this September. Although this isn't the first Kyubey plush, it is the first that anyone can acquire. (The other is being offered by Banpresto as part of a lottery line of products.)

Madoka Magica's Final Episodes Scheduled to Air April 21st
This is what happens when I oversleep. I'm late to the party. But this is a GLORIOUS PARTY. Madoka has an air date! According to the official website, the 11th and 12th episodes will be airing on April 21.
After the episodes were put on hold as an act of "self-restraint" the series was then delayed temporarily to complete the final two episodes. According to the announcement on their site, they apologize for having kept the fans waiting and thank them for their continued support.
Now that we have episodes to look forward to again, I recommend anyone who hasn't seen the series marathons it right now!
